Billionaire In A Bag
Northwest Life: Sunday, November 07, 1999

IF YOU HAD all the money in the world, where would you eat? Rover's,
home of the $200 dinner? Denny's, home of the $2.99 Grand Slam Breakfast?
Or Dick's Drive-In, home of a new bag that includes a picture of a
man with glasses and the note: "Local billionaire often spotted
eating at Dick's." But it's hard to tell which of many local bespectacled
billionaires it is. Gates? Allen? The geek down the block?
That's the plan, according to Jim Spady, vice president of the local
chain of five restaurants. But he seemed a bit nervous talking about
the bag, stressing that the image on the bag isn't anyone in particular, "just
clip art," and said such things as "for the record" and "just
don't say I said it" and something about an "army of lawyers." Hey,
don't worry. We know Bill and Paul have bigger fries to fish.
Wave goodbye to this controversy...
