FAQ about the Dick’s Drive-In Food Truck

I’m ready to fill out a private rental inquiry

How many burgers can you serve?

The truck will be stocked with 500, 700 or 1,000 patties depending on the selected rental option. The actual number of burgers that the truck serves during your event will be determined by the type of burgers your guests order. For example, the Dick’s Deluxe burger contains 2 beef patties while all other burgers contain 1 beef patty.

What types of burgers are available?

The truck serves the same burger options that are available at all the Dick’s Drive-In locations:

Two 1/8 pound grilled patties, with melted cheese, lettuce, mayonnaise and pickle relish

Special:
Single 1/8 pound grilled patty, with lettuce, mayonnaise and pickle relish.

Cheeseburger:

Plain Cheeseburger:
Single 1/8 pound grilled patty, melted cheese, and no condiments.

Hamburger:
Single 1/8 pound grilled patty, with ketchup and a small amount of mild mustard.

Plain Hamburger:
Single 1/8 pound grilled patty with no condiments.

Are fries available?

The short answer…no. When designing the Dick’s Drive-In Food Truck we knew space would be limited. We were able to fit in your favorite Dick’s burgers and shakes along with a delicious alternative; individually bagged, lightly salted, kettle potato chips. In the future, we hope to find a solution to get our three-ingredient fries out on the road to round out the trifecta.

Are the kettle chips cooked on site?

No. We serve pre-made, lightly salted and individually bagged kettle potato chips.

Will a port-a-potty satisfy the restroom agreement?

No. The Dick’s Drive-In crew members serving your event will need access to a fully plumbed restroom equipped with a hand-washing sink that is able to provide water at a temperature of at least 100 degrees.

Is a water / electricity hook-up needed?

No. The truck is fully self-sufficient and will not need hook-ups to water or electricity

Can I customize the types of menu items available for my event?

Possibly. Please share this information with your food truck coordinator.

How far can the Dick's Drive-In food truck and crew members travel to my event?

We are currently capping our travel to 90 miles one-way.

Can the Dick's Drive-In food truck travel on a ferry to my event?

Not at this time, though hopefully in the future!

How do I invite the Dick's Drive-In food truck to a festival, farmers market or other similar event?

Our non-hosted public food truck visits last approximately 3 hours. At public visits, we do not charge a site host fee, and attendees at the event purchase food directly from the food truck.

Our food truck does not have the ability to pay a site fee or offer any type of profit sharing at non-hosted public events.

Our food truck visits non-hosted community public events on a limited basis and selection is heavily influenced by the expected attendee count.

Our food truck requires a level parking spot with ample space for access in and out of the site. A plumbed restroom equipped with a hand washing station is required for use of our food truck crew while onsite.

At all community public events, the food truck offers:

  • All 6 burgers options available at our Drive-In locations
  • Milkshakes: Chocolate, Vanilla and Strawberry
  • Canned Coca-Cola beverages
  • Bottled water
  • Individually bagged kettle chips

*Please Note: Our food truck does NOT offer french fries.

If our guidelines and requirements seem to align with your non-hosted community event, please complete the public inquiry form here.

How much notice do you need to book your truck?

We are currently booking our food trucks six (6) weeks in advance.

How far in advance can I book your truck?

We are able to pursue rental opportunities no more than 12 months (1 year) in advance from your event date.
